UNICEF
Projects

My working experience at UNICEF is a story of hard work and passion, difficulties and successes. I have a vast number of tasks in the Organization, working at the Global Learning center (GLC), which is part of the Global Shared Service Center (GSSC), one of the main Headquarters of UNICEF, based in Budapest, Hungary.

Specifically, I am part of the Agora team, the high-level team which is working on the maintenance and implementation of Agora, UNICEF Learning Management System (LMS), that counts 300.000 active users per year, 1 million users in 10 years of history!

Agora management

Agora is the Learning Management System (LMS) used at UNICEF. It is based on the famous corporate LMS Totara, which is in turn based on Moodle LMS.

As part of the Agora team, I have been heavily involved in Agora management, responding to partners requests, creating new courses and managing courses already existing on Agora.

Global Induction Training (GIT)

The Global Induction Training (GIT) is a live training mandatory for all the new UNICEF employees all around the world. This training takes place live from the studio at the Global Shared Service Center (GSSC) in Budapest, Hungary, and reaches all the UNICEF country offices around the world.

UNHCR - Agora tenancy

A tenancy is a branded and semi-indipendet part of a Learning Management System, which can be customized and dedicated to partners organizations. UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and UNICEF have a successful partnership for learning purposes and one of my main tasks is to act as a Local Focal Point for Inter-Agency Cooperation on the UNHCR tenancy-project on Agora.

Fixing bugs

When an LMS hosts thousands of courses, it is inevitable to spot issues and bugs. One of my main tasks is to respond to users reports and intervene to fix the bugs, often editing the source files from e-Learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline.
